My name is Carol Scheevel, and I am the Children's Pastor at Lakewood. I have been in Children's Ministries since 1982, and have been serving at Lakewood for a total of 13 years , part of that time in the 80's and back here again since April of 2000. It is my honor and privilege to be in the business of telling kids about Jesus Christ, and helping parents navigate the road of leading their children into a deeper faith.
This blog is a chance for kids and parents to chat about what's going on in their lives, ask questions, talk about what they're learning in KidStuf, etc. LET'S BLOG!

- I am a Children's Pastor, and am so blessed to be able to spend my time doing what I believe God has called me to! My alma mater is Biola / Talbot (woo hoo!) I am also a single mom and have 2 fantastic kids (young adults now!) one super Son-In-Law, and a grandbaby on the way! When I'm not at First Pres hanging out with our fantastic KIDS, you can find me stamping cards, watching movies, reading, or trying to buy tickets to any broadway musical I can get my hands on.
